THESE GUIDELINES ARE SET FORTH IN EFFORT TO TRY AND KEEP EVERYONE WHO ARE COMPETING, WATCHING AND VOLUNTEERING AT MDA SHOWS SAFE.  AS WELL AS LOOKING OUT FOR THE SAFETY OF THE FARM OWNER AND THEIR EMPLOYEES.  
           THESE GUIDELINES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO THE CURRENT                                             GOVERNMENT, USEF, USDF AND FACILITY RESTRICTIONS

Volunteers
  1. ​Any volunteer who has symptoms consistent with COVID-19, a temperature of 100.4 or higher, or  been exposed within the previous 14 days to COVID-19 will not be allowed to work at the show.
  2. Volunteers will practice social distancing when possible and wear face mask. 
  3. Use gloves and hand sanitizer when necessary . 
Show
  1. All  competitors will be given an approximate time slot of 2.5 hours for arrival, show and leave by. This is to help keep social gathering to a minimum.
  2. A sign-in/ temperature check point will be at the entrance to the facility. All persons coming to the show must stop,
  3. Check point personnel will take temperatures, have entrant sign a waiver, roster for tracking and give show ID bracelet

  4. ALL COMPETITORS and THEIR GUESTS MUST SIGN A WAIVER WITH THEIR ENTRY 
  5. EVERYONE COMING TO AN MDA SHOW WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A ROSTER
  6.  USEF Warning. In an update issued on July 29, the United States Equestrian Federation decried the lack of compliance at some shows with its COVID Action Plan. Therefore, effective immediately, USEF mandated "the use of face masks/face coverings at all times while on the competition grounds except when mounted on a horse or driving a horse-drawn carriage or cart." In addition, USEF stated that "individuals who continue to demonstrate non-compliance with social distancing or mask/face covering requirements will be promptly removed from the competition grounds by competition management." 


Competitors

  1. This year all INTRO, WESTERN DRESSAGE, INTRO and USEA tests will be ridden in a large ring (20 m x 60m) to minimize handle of ring and keeping number of volunteers to a minimum.
  2. If you are not feeling well, have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 VIRUS, a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher on the day of the show  PLEASE DO NOT COME.
  3. If you have been exposed to someone with the COVID VIRUS with in 14 days prior to the show– PLEASE DO NOT COME.
  4. ALL COMPETITORS and THEIR GUESTS MUST SIGN A ROSTER AND  COVID WAIVER  

  5. Once on the show grounds – all persons must wear a mask unless they are mounted on a horse or in your vehicle/trailer.
  6. 2-3 guest (trainer, parent, groom, etc...) per rider. Riders do not have to wear a mask once mounted and will not be penalized if choose to wear a mask while riding their test.
  7. Please park trailers approximately 20 feet apart.
  8. Please practice Social distancing at all times when possible.
  9. ​ALL BUILDING ARE OFF LIMITS UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
  10. ​If riders all come from one barn if possible PLEASE send one person to pick up tests and ribbons. ​
